Blepharitis
This is chronic inflammation of the eyelids and eyelashes. It often causes redness, swelling, and irritation of the lids along with crusts at the lash line. One of the causes of blepharitis is poor lid hygiene. Another cause is excessive oil produced by glands in the eyelids.
