Comprehensive Vision and Eye Health Analysis
There is a difference in eye exams. Of course we do the refraction, where we determine your prescription. But we also spend time checking how your general health may be affecting your eyes. Such as diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, stroke, etc. We test for glaucoma and cataracts. We test for eye muscle problems, eye neurology problems, visual field defects, depth perception, and color vision. We listen to how you use your eyes and match lenses to your needs and wants. If we recommend a new prescription, it is because it will make a real difference in your vision. We frequently report to our patients that only minor or borderline change has occurred.
